SUMMER 25/26 – SEASON RECAP

The Summer 2025/26 season has been a fantastic one for the Frankston Bobcats, with some incredible achievements across the club.

• 🏆 25 teams qualified for finals

• 🏅 19 teams advanced to the grand finals

• 🥇 7 teams were crowned premiers

 Reaching these stages is a huge accomplishment and reflects the hard work, commitment and growth of our players, coaches and families.

While these results are something to celebrate, our focus as a club goes far beyond winning. Our priority is getting kids actively engaged in sport, supported by great mentors in their coaches, and creating an environment where they can grow both on and off the court.

We know that around 70 percent of kids drop out of sport between the ages of 12 and 13. This is such an important stage, which is why we place a strong emphasis on guidance, resilience, encouragement and building a sense of belonging. For us, success is not just measured on the scoreboard, but in the confidence, friendships and life skills our players develop.

We are incredibly proud of the culture we are building at the Frankston Bobcats and the role our community plays in supporting young people to stay active and connected.

COACHES AND TEAM MANAGERS NEEDED!

Volunteers are the heart of our club and help make basketball possible for all players. No experience is necessary — the club provides coaching templates, training programs (when available), and a team manager checklist to get you started.

We also have a supportive community platform where all coaches and team managers can communicate, share tips, and ask questions in a safe environment.

As a thank you, coaches receive 50% off their child’s registration fees. With over 60 teams and 500 players, we need helpers to get your child’s team off the ground — your involvement makes a real difference! 🏀🐾

WINTER 2025 – SEASON RECAP

What an incredible Winter 2025 season it’s been for the Frankston Bobcats! Not only was it our most successful season yet — with a record number of teams reaching the finals and the club continuing to grow stronger than ever — but it was also a season that truly reflected everything we stand for: community.

We’re proud to celebrate some amazing achievements this winter:

• 🏆 28 teams qualified for finals

• 🏅 18 teams advanced to the grand finals

• 🥇 11 teams were crowned premiers, making the Bobcats the most successful club in the Frankston junior competition this season

For so many of our players and families, the Bobcats are more than just basketball. We’re a place to belong, to build friendships, to grow in confidence, and to be part of something truly special. The energy, support, and spirit shown by everyone involved this winter has been nothing short of inspiring.

A huge congratulations and heartfelt thank you to every coach, team manager, player, and volunteer who made this season so memorable. Your dedication, teamwork, and passion are what make our club so special — and we couldn’t be prouder of everything we achieved together.

As we wrap up an unforgettable winter, our focus now shifts to Summer 2025–26, and it’s shaping up to be just as exciting! With over 60 teams hitting the courts this season, the Bobcats family is bigger, stronger, and more connected than ever. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead.

𝐖𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐈𝐭, 𝐁𝐨𝐛𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐬! 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫!

It’s with so much pride and emotion that we share this incredible news: Frankston Bobcats Basketball Club has been named 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 by the FDBA!

This is not just a win for the club – it’s a win for every single person who’s been part of this journey.

When the club was in a tough spot, it took a few brave souls to step in and say, "We’re not giving up on the Bobcats."𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐦 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐁𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐏𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐲, 𝐓𝐢𝐦 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐬" you are the heart and soul of our comeback. You took on a huge responsibility, not for glory, but because you believed in the Bobcats and the community we could rebuild together. There’s no way we would be here today without your commitment and tireless effort. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

A season after this group took the reins, 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐦 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐬 stepped up as President, alongside his wife 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐬 as Vice President, and the journey continued. Their dedication to the vision for the club, alongside the whole team of volunteers, has been nothing short of inspiring. It’s a testament to their belief in what we can accomplish together, and we’ll always be grateful for their leadership.

Today, we’re a committee of 11 passionate people, and we continue to grow – not just in numbers, but in heart. We are more than a basketball club; we’re a family. We’re a place where people have fun, make lifelong friendships, and support each other through thick and thin. That’s what this award means to us.

So, to everyone who’s played a part, no matter how big or small, in getting us here – 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮. This recognition is for you. For every parent, player, coach, and volunteer who’s been part of this amazing journey. You’ve helped shape the Bobcats into the club we are today, and we couldn’t be prouder.
