Frankston Bobcats Basketball Club will comply with all applicable Australian Consumer Law when considering refund requests.
Upon receipt of registration fees, the Club provides services including, but not limited to:
Placement of players into an age- and skill-appropriate team
Registration of teams into relevant domestic competitions
Submission of teams for grading and competition placement
Appointment of a coach and team manager (where volunteers are available)
Coordination of training venues and game day administration

Refunds may be provided where:
The Club is unable to place a player in an appropriate team due to numbers, grading outcomes or other factors at the discretion of the Club.
The Club is unable to appoint a coach and/or team manager due to insufficient volunteers.
The playing season is cancelled or significantly shortened for reasons beyond the Club’s control.
The Club cannot accommodate a reasonable request noted at the time of registration (where such request materially impacts participation).
A player sustains an injury or medical condition prior to the season commencing that prevents participation for the majority of the season and/or prevents finals qualification (medical evidence required).
Dissatisfaction with grading or team placement
Dissatisfaction with team mates*
Dissatisfaction with a coach, assistant coach or team manager*
Dissatisfaction with other parents*
Inability to attend allocated training or game times
Change of mind
Withdrawal to join another club or team
Acceptance into a representative program after domestic registration
*The Club will make every reasonable effort to consider requests made at the time of registration. However, once teams are finalised and competitions commence, the Club is under no obligation to restructure teams or provide refunds based on these preferences.
Frankston Bobcats understands that unforeseen situations may arise. The Committee reserves the right to consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
If a refund request is approved in circumstances where the Club is not legally obligated to provide a full refund, the following will apply:

Total Club fees paid less 20% administration fee
After completion of Round 4

*Exceptional circumstances may be considered at the discretion of the Committee.
Please note:
Fees paid to Associations (e.g. FDBA, CADBA, Casey Basketball) and/or Basketball Victoria may not be refundable by the Club and may need to be pursued directly with the relevant body.
PlayHQ transaction or gateway fees are non-refundable.

Reason for refund request
Details of any extenuating circumstances
Supporting documentation (e.g. medical certificate if applicable)
Bank account details for refund processing
Please allow up to ten (10) business days for processing once a decision has been communicated.
