New players and players transferring to Frankston Bobcats must complete an Expression of Interest.
Unfortunately, submitting an Expression of Interest does not guarantee a position. Placement will depend on:
Movement within existing teams;
Availability of a suitable team for the player’s age and skill level; and
The creation of new teams, subject to volunteer coaches being available.
We would love to offer every child the opportunity to play basketball; however, the number of teams we can enter is limited by the number of volunteer coaches available.
If a suitable position becomes available, we will contact you as soon as possible.
Frankston Bobcats is seeking volunteer coaches and assistant coaches for the Summer 2026/27 season.
No previous coaching experience is required. Whether you are an experienced coach, a former player or a parent interested in learning, we would love to hear from you.
All coaches must hold a current Working with Children Check. The club provides support, mentoring and coaching pathways, including access to paid coaching courses and accreditation.
We also have a supportive community platform where all coaches and team managers can communicate, share tips, and ask questions in a safe environment.
As a thank you, coaches receive 50% off their child’s registration fees. With over 60 teams and 500 players, we need helpers to get your child’s team off the ground — your involvement makes a real difference! 🏀🐾
The Frankston Bobcats are proud of our strong community feel, where families pitch in, friendships are made, and support is always on hand.
