Frankston Bobcats Basketball Club

Code of Conduct

Young people involved in sport have the right to participate in a safe, supportive and enjoyable environment.

Australians love their sport, and basketball is no exception. While passion and enthusiasm are positive parts of junior sport, there are times when behaviours from players, coaches, parents or spectators can negatively impact the experience of others.

Frankston Bobcats Basketball Club is committed to promoting fair play, respect and sportsmanship at all times. Our Code of Conduct provides clear expectations for behaviour and supports a positive basketball environment focused on:

  • Fun

  • Friendship

  • Skill development

  • Respect

  • Safety

Basketball is intended to be a recreational activity that promotes enjoyment, teamwork and healthy competition.

These Codes of Conduct are aligned with Basketball Victoria’s Code of Conduct and outline what is expected of everyone involved in our club. By following these guidelines, we help ensure:

  • A safe environment for all participants

  • Positive experiences for players

  • Respect for officials and opponents

  • A welcoming and inclusive club culture

  • Continued enjoyment and participation in basketball

All members of Frankston Bobcats Basketball Club are expected to understand and uphold these standards.
